Visit to Oman International Exhibition Center
The first step included a visit to the Oman International Exhibition Center in Muscat. During this visit, participants familiarized themselves with Oman’s exhibition structures and examined the country’s trade connections with regional and international markets, particularly Africa and South Asia. Analyzing the consumer market and identifying competitive advantages for Iranian products were key takeaways from this segment.
Market Sales Analysis and Consumer Needs Assessment
Participants then visited wholesale and retail markets in Muscat to closely examine pricing, consumer behavior, existing competitors, and market needs in Oman. These visits provided practical information for making more precise decisions regarding the entry of Iranian goods and services into this market.
Industrial Estate Visits and Meetings with Government Officials
One of the most important parts of the program was visiting the Mada’in and Khazaen industrial estates and holding an official meeting with their CEOs. During this session, Oman’s government incentives and support for foreign investment, exports, imports, and industrial land ownership by foreigners were reviewed. Key points discussed included business setup conditions, tax exemptions, and ease of company registration procedures.
Private Meetings with Omani Merchants
A private meeting was also held with a group of Omani businessmen and traders, which provided an opportunity to exchange views, present the capacities of Iranian industries, and begin initial negotiations for direct trade cooperation between the two countries.
Housing, Automotive, and Infrastructure Project Reviews
At the end of the program, visits were made to ongoing residential projects, as well as the automobile and spare parts market in Oman, providing deeper insights into consumption patterns, market needs, and economic trends in construction and the automotive industry.
